Snapper SNP-PMC-24 is a professional quality RGB variable scan analogue image acquisition board for the acquisition of standard CCIR or EIA video (i.e. both European and American standards) as well as slow scan cameras. PMC is a standard for computer mezzanine cards which use the same high-speed interface as the PCI bus, allowimng images to be transferred to host memory or display at transfer rates upto 132 Mb/s. PMC cards are often used in rack-mount systems such as VME and Futurebus.
Full resolution colour (RGB) or monochrome is digitized via three 8 bit ADCs and stored in on-board frame memory. Each one of the three video channels has four software selectable inputs and an 8 bit Look Up Table (LUT). A custom FPGA (field programmable gate array) then performs optional sub-sampling and region of interest generation for maximum flexibility and readout speed. A programmable phase locked loop (PLL) and sync generator combined with the custom FPGA provides versatile sync and clock options for both input and output.
The Software Developers Kit (SDK), available as a separate item, allows rapid system development and integration. It provides comprehensive example applications and optimised libraries, and is available for a growing number of operating systems including Windows, MacOs, Solaris, Lynxos and VxWorks. As well as functions that control the hardware, the libraries include general purpose functions for the manipulation and display of images. 2. SNP-PMC-DIG16: 16Bit Digital CCD 輸入,PMC界面.
Snapper
SNP-PCI-DIG16 for the acquisition of digital data from a variety of sources including digital frame capture cameras and digital line scan cameras. The board is based around a custom FPGA (field programmable gate array) which is loaded under software control during initialization. This allows the many variants of digital cameras to be accommodated without the need for hardware modifications. This FPGA also performs optional sub-sampling and region of interest generation for maximum flexibility and frame update rate. The data from the FPGA is fed through a 16 bit LUT and then into a FIFO.SNP-PCI-DIG16 incorporates a Data Mapper hardware to provide data packing functions to maximize data rate. Utilising a high speed PCI interface the SNP-PCI-DIG16 allows images to be transferred to host memory for either processing or display at sustained transfer rates in excess of 100 Mb/s!
